Furore clings to the heavily cultivated slopes, overflowing with olives and vines. The original name for this whole area was Terra Furoris due to the sounds of fury of the sea and the wind that echoed through the hills on stormy nights. The fiord is wedged between steep valley sides and the small houses were once lived in by local fishermen.
